AfriGIS cares – comfort packs handed to SAPS Woman and Child Abuse Unit

Jul 15 2016

AfriGIS contributed 100 comfort packs to the SAPS Woman and Child Abuse Unit who assist victims involved in abusive circumstances.

AfriGIS HR Manager, Christa Welthagen remarked: “Our initiative, in the spirit of Mandela Day on 18 July and Women’s Month next month is to provide these packs that include basic necessities to bring a bit of comfort to the victims after a traumatic event. We are passionate in contributing to our community and to add value in people’s lives”.

The Pretoria Central FCS (Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences) Unit joined us at our Head Offices to collect the packs and also give thanks to AfriGIS for the commitment in making the comfort packs. Captain Ngobeni added: “There is a saying that a soldier may die on the road, but he will never be alone. We may all have struggles, but we will never be alone! We at FCS are so fortunate to have people like AfriGIS that contribute to making a difference in the line of work we do. We can only wish to have more people like you in the future, as it would go a long way in building a better future for our country”.

AfriGIS firmly and passionately believes in making the world a better place. Thank you to everyone at AfriGIS who contributed to this initiative.
