New Business Development Manager

Introduction

AfriGIS seeks a dynamic and results-driven New Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a strong focus on achieving new business sales targets.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
  • At least 8+ years in Sales in a solution-selling environment
  • A tertiary degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven track record in a software sales environment with a preference of knowledge in Big Data, specifically Spatial Data
  • Experience in selling to international markets preferred
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends
  • Exceptional sales and customer relationship management skills with in-depth knowledge of the market, including extensive industry contacts on executive and senior management levels
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Main Responsibilities:
  • Seek out and initiate new business opportunities
  • Execute on incoming new business leads from receipt to deal closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement new business development strategies
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape with the aim of collaborating with the marketing team on go to market strategies
  • Provide input from the industry/customer base on product roadmap/development requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of new business development initiatives
  • Monitor and report on new business development activities and results
  • Consistently meet or exceed new business targets
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
