CTU Sandton Grand Opening

Passionate about job creation and making a difference in our beautiful country!

The AfriGIS Learnership Programme, in partnership with CTU Training Solutions & MICT Seta, is currently running for the fourth consecutive year. We are thankful for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of these young individuals and to contribute to the upskilling of new IT Professionals in our country.

CTU hosted the opening of their Sandton campus last month. Vuyo Mazabane and Joseph Mashiloane represented AfriGIS at this exciting event where Vuyo also gave a short overview of AfriGIS and how we bring information about location to life.

Joseph, Vuyo and Cynthia Masina graduated from the AfriGIS Learnership Programme in 2012 and are part of the AfriGIS Development, Sales and Quality Assurance Teams.

“The need for certified labour and skilled professionals with the ability to immediately enter a business, provide short-term ROI and add value is such that traditional training methodologies simply cannot cope. Equipping the workforce of the future and helping those already in the market with relevant expertise calls for service providers who offer an all-round approach – a total breakaway from the linear, traditional ‘chalkboard and books’ methodology to one underpinned by the Internet and software.
We want to see people adopt technology and actually use it. In that way we are adding value and that’s what CTU is about.”
